Like most other big budget releases, Assassin’s Creed III will boast a season pass. The $30 expansion will grant access to various multiplayer expansions, in addition to three single-player episodes named "The Tyranny of King Washington". As the title suggests, the content will depict an alternate history set after the events of the American Revolution.
“As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges,” reads the official blurb. “Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.”
It’s worth noting that season pass owners will also score early access to each of Assassin’s Creed III’s DLC packs. If you’re the type of person that can’t resist typing “First” at the bottom of a YouTube video, then we suspect you’re already on board.

I can't wait to play it! Though we all know Washington would never have as many wives as Henry VIII.
@turtlelink Alternate history, man! You never know!
But wouldn't it be king George? I thought kings were called by their first name.
I actually like this idea of an alternate reality, it's more interesting than the standard 'this happened somewhere else at this point in time'.
So a $60 game and $30 expansion pass that will be a $40 GH next year on sale for $30? Guess I can wait until then to pay 1/3 the price.
