We feel stupid for buying into Yosuke Hayashi’s lip-service about elevating Dead or Alive 5’s image now. The Team Ninja executive claimed earlier in the year that the studio was hoping to tame the brawler’s juvenile “sex and violence” tone – and we actually believed him.
But this brand new trailer – which shows Zack leering over a group of bunny-eared girls – proves that we were completely naive. Look, we haven’t got a problem with overexposed ladies – we just can’t stand hypocrites. Either be honest about your game’s content, or don’t say anything at all.

Saw this earlier. Very naughty lol. Funny cause I just picked up Dead or Alive Dimensions and I'm playing it right now.
They really did do a u-turn on this. I remember seeing and reading the interviews where the developers said DOA5 was aiming to be more 'mature'. Now we have bunny girls all over the place
Well it looks like I'm going to have change the voices to Japanese again.
It's the way DoA has always been and to be honest, it really doesn't bother me because it doesn't have an effect on the game's overall quality. The DoA games have always been middle of the pack button mashers and toning down some of the content wasn't going to change that. I do agree though they shouldn't have said anything if they were just going to change it in the end. It'd be interesting to know what made them do a 180.
