Zeboyd Games Has Announced It's Resurrecting The Penny Arcade Adventures Series.

It later emerged that developer Hothead had dropped the project due to time-constraints, and the series was put on indefinite hold.

But the series is on hold no more. Zeboyd Game has announced during this weekend's PAX that it is resurrecting the series, with the third installment due out in 2012. The game will reinvent the series, with 16-bit graphics, side-view combat and new music. Series protagonists Gabe and Tycho will return.

No platforms have been announced, but Zeboyd has said its aiming for as many systems as possible. PlayStation Network sounds like a pretty safe bet.
