Believe.

While the original title was far from perfect, but it always felt like it was teetering on the edge of brilliance, in need of a little more iteration to fulfill its potential. Of course, Mirror's Edge succumbed to the new IP syndrome, selling poorly and being pushed to the back of EA's plans. The company has said frequently that it has not given up on the series yet though.

EA Europe's VP Patrick Soderlund is the latest executive to put faith behind the franchise: “I loved Mirror’s Edge and what we did with Mirror’s Edge,” Soderlund told GameStar.

“We have not abandoned the franchise. And we are working on something – but I’m not willing to talk more about that.”

That the publisher's working on the franchise is better than nothing. We'll maintain hope for a full-blown sequel.
