Disgusting: The Daily Mail Believes Modern Warfare 3 Is Attempting To Recreate The 2005 Terrorist Attacks On London.

As with all terrorist attacks, the event was given a fancy buzzword by the media β€” duh, 7/7 of course β€” so we could all easily recall the horrors of the day. One prong of the attack involved blowing a hole in a London Underground train. A similar image is depicted in the latest Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 trailer, which portrays a fictional World War III scenario across four major cities including London.

The Daily Mail is not happy about this. In its damning report, the Daily Mail quoted Mediawatch UK's Vivienne Pattison as saying: "I have concerns as these games are hyper-real and take place in a landscape we are familiar with. In light of the fact we have just had the 7/7 inquests, it is in incredibly poor taste."

We don't think Vivienne's ever played a Call Of Duty game before. Hyper-real? Pssht.

Of course the outrage will be no surprise to Activision. The publisher was globally blasted for Modern Warfare 2's "No Russian" stage which placed players amidst a major terrorist attack on a Russian airport.
