People Genuinely Do Own 3D Televisions. Make.Believe.

Sony's been beating its chest regarding its commitment to 3D technology today, noting that there are "nearly 30" 3D enabled games coming to the PlayStation 3 this year.

A post on the PlayStation Blog references the likes of Uncharted 3, SOCOM 4 and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One as upcoming 3D releases.

Sony additionally provided some stats detailing how 3D uptake has been gathering pace. Apparently 20% of the Killzone 3 demo downloads were for the 3D version, while the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: The 3-D Experience Exclusive Sneak Peek gained 83,000 downloads in just one week earlier in the year. Ahem.

"PS3 continues to serve as the home for all things 3D entertainment," said Sony's T J Tidwell. Anyone ready to take the plunge yet? (Yes Jas_nm, we know you have a compatible television already.)
