The 2011 Masters tournament tees off next Monday, 4th April, but PlayStation Move owners get their chance to go out on the links from today, as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters lands on PlayStation 3 today.
For those "try before you buy" stalwarts amongst you, there's already a free demo available on PlayStation Store, so you can give its Move controls a fair shake before deciding if you want to shell out on the latest outing from Mr Woods and company.

Some things I've learnt from the IGN review:
"On Xbox 360 and PS3 Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 features 16 courses on the disc, and 20 available as DLC. The game finally incorporates DLC courses into the career mode, though in an awkward way. As you play the career, you'll try to enter a tournament attached to a DLC course. The game will stop you and inform you to go purchase the course from the store, or skip the event. Having a good chunk of my career mode blocked off sucks, and comes off as crass. By comparison, the Wii version of the game, which features no DLC, comes with 25 courses. If course amount is a deciding factor in your purchase, the cheaper Wii version has nine more courses than its HD counterparts."
"The Wii version made a couple of additions, most notably Balance Board support to measure your feet placement. It also has the additional motion control modes, like disc golf, mini-golf, and party games."
The initial preview on this site said that there would 5 "mini-golf" courses, including one based on a boardwalk theme. I can't seem to find them in the game or see them mentioned in any sort of documentation. This is not a big deal for me, but my son was interested in this. Any idea if this was simply an error on the Movemodo report, perhaps getting things mixed up with the Wii version?
@autogolazzo: That information comes straight from EA's own page for this game. :3
@theblackdragon: your link is to the UK site, which does say that the game includes mini-golf. However the link to the US EA page for this game does not mention mini golf: http://www.ea.com/tiger-woods/ps3
Any ideas on this one? Do you really think that the games are different?
@autogolazzo: I honestly have no idea, I was just pointing out that the information in question had indeed come straight from EA, therefore there was no mixup on our part regarding the PS3 version and the Wii version as you had suggested. Whether they've removed the aforementioned mini-golf from the US version and left it in the UK version remains to be seen.
@theblackdragon: Understood. I'm sure we'll find out all the details in the coming days. Just out of curiosity, do you typically get your information from UK sites vs. US sites or is it usually just assumed that US/UK versions for games such as this are typically identical?
@autogalazzo Usually we use either UK or US sites; I do the news and check both sides of the Atlantic for news. In this instance I can't imagine why they'd remove mini-golf from the US version, but I should be getting my UK copy soon so I'll happily investigate the whole deal.
Thanks for providing info on this. Again, I wasn't pointing a finger at you guys. I was merely confused as to whether or not I was missing some content. I thought my 8 year old would have liked to play some mini-golf. It turns out he seems to be far more interested in the Masters and the array of clubs at his disposal.
No worries, I understand you weren't pointing any fingers Glad he's enjoying it!
BTW - The UK site still claims to have mini-golf on its home page. Can anyone confirm or deny this to be true now that the UK game has been released.
