Insomniac's Pushing Into The Social Games Space With Insomniac Click.

Resistance developers Insomniac Games are obviously keenly aware of the potential of the online casual games space, as the company has just announced Insomniac Click, a new company division devoted to web and mobile games.

While the endeavour is based in Burbank, the home Insomniac's operations, its made up of a new team hired specifically for social game development. I.e. it's not going to pull any resources out of Ratchet or Resistance.

Insomniac's Brian Hastings said, "Insomniac Click is dedicated to taking the qualities that define our brand – deep worlds, rich stories, accessible gameplay – and applying them to new game experiences that anyone in the world can play."

So it sounds like they are actually looking to make games on Facebook rather than nonsense about farming and cafes.
