Oh Look, The Move's Doing Fine In North America Too!

The subsequent silence has led to plenty of scare-mongering from the media; but Sony's finally silenced their critics by stating the motion controller's already sold a million units in North America.

SCEA's Jack Tretton has revealed that demand is far exceeding supply, with stock expected to be limited until February.

"We had to go back and increase production twice, we're absolutely maxed out right now," SCEA's Jack Tretton told Reuters.

Earlier in the month, SCEE's Andrew House revealed that PlayStation Move sales in Europe were around the 1.5 million mark. Roughly 2.5 million units sounds like a good number going into Christmas. Hopefully Sony can up the device's exposure, as the Kinect onslaught (half a billion dollars!) is expected to start soon.
