Ignition's Story Elements Are Played Out In Comic-Book Style Cut-Scenes.

During a showcase last night, EA presented a little of the downloadable prequel. The product's got a comic-book aesthetic, but is fully voiced and will allow you to choose your own adventure ending in four unique conclusions. Completing tasks will unlock exclusive content in the retail copy of Dead Space 2.

Aswell as setting up the fiction, Dead Space: Ignition will include three hacking mini-games: hardware crack, trace-route and system overdrive. Trace-route was demonstrated, and looks moderately fun. It has you controlling a light-orb down on isometric race-track. It all looks rather Tron.

Price is going to be key for Ignition. If it's under $5 it'll be very successful, but if EA try to charge more than that, it might not have the promotional effect they're expecting.
