Gamestop Predict A "Meaningful" Playstation 3 Pricedrop This August.

Oh price drop speculation, will thee ever go away? Personally, we wish people would do one of three things: a) buy the Playstation 3 console now; b) wait quietly and patiently to buy the Playstation 3 console when the price inevitably drops, or; c) don't buy the Playstation 3 console.

Either way, we're sick of reporting these price drop rumours.

Alas, US retailer Gamestop are predicting a pretty big $100 drop in time for Madden's release this August, "We continue to believe a $100 price cut on PS3 will occur around the launch of EA's Madden NFL 2010, which is scheduled for release on 8/18."

A $100 price-drop would probably be an enormously big deal for consumers in these testing types, but it would surely have an impact on Sony's bottom line. Still, contrary to the average forum browser's belief, Sony are a good company with intelligent employees. They do the right thing, we're certain.
