They claim there's a new PSP on the way.
After speaking to an unnamed developer, PocketGamer conclude that the new PSP will go into competition with the iPhone, boasting a large touch screen at face value. They hint however, at the new PSPs advantages for gaming, namely that the screen can slide up, revealing underneath a D-Pad, face buttons and, yes, two analogue sticks.
The design philosopy is interesting, as pointed out in the article, because not only will Sony's platform support traditional "button based" games, but the touch screen will also allow for new, innovative, DS-type games too.
If it's coming, we'll see it at E3. Given the sheer number of similar rumours floating about, we'd hazard that there is certainly something on the way.
