Kazunori Yamauchi: Forza Is “Different” To A Simulator

Kaz Has Tried Forza 3, Thinks Gran Turismo Is More Sim.
After being the brunt of much of Turn 10’s marketing campaign in the lead up to Forza 3’s XBOX 360 release, Gran Turismo 5 head-honcho Kazunori Yamauchi has said that Forza doesn’t stack up next to GT in the simulation stakes.
“Some base components of the game are very different from Gran Turismo,” he said. “It’s a little bit different from what a simulator is. You can feel it when you drive it.”
However, Yamauchi did concede that Turn 10’s racer does share similarities with Polyphony’s game. Namely that it has cars in it, we assume.
“I was watching the guys at our company trying it out in the office. I tried it a little bit. It’s very similar in a lot of aspects to Gran Turismo,” he said.
With Forza 3 already on stores, Polyphony still have time to polish their project to oblivion before it releases in March. How will the final products stack up?
