PS Plus' Big Walk Hits Big Sales, Surpasses 1 Million Copies Sold in Under a Week

Wouldn't be too quick to assume it's ignored ps players just because they've said the word bought. When you redeem a ps+ game it says purchased, you even get an email receipt saying you've purchased it for £0.00. It likely hasn't included them as you'd expect it to be more if it had but the wording isn't a solid basis for the assumption.

Fair play if it's a hit, i like untitled goose game so happy to see them do well. Seems like a further sign that i'm increasingly drifting further into the periphery with my tastes in games as this didn't interest me enough to try it and having seen a stream of it being played, have even less desire to play it.

After playing this with my partner and a few others, I have to admit it's been a surprise hit within our little group. Can't get over how much we have laughed and just had all out fun with it.

Forgetting frame chasing, pixel pushing and so on, if fun as a few people together is what you're after, this is certainly a refreshing game to throw in the mix!

This game is a banger. Can't remember the last time I laughed so much playing with a group.

Great game. Had some good laughs with my kids.

Thoroughly recommend. Two friends and I have been enjoying the exploration, puzzling and just general mischief in equal measure!

@Bluemoon2008 I've had emails when claiming PlayStation Plus bonus packs for games but I've never had an email when claiming any monthly games and I usually make a point of claiming any games that I haven't previously bought. I've double checked my emails and I've added and downloaded Big Walk and I have no "purchased" email.

@Kevw2006 they used to do it with every single game. Then they seemed to stop it, which was good because it was quite annoying. It's since had a sporadically return every now and then.

Been playing with 2 friends and it is awesome. My only conplaint is getting hung up on the terrain.

The biggest problem in Big Walk is the actual walking! Lol

But I seriously am really digging this one.

Isn’t this game an online only game? And is it out on other platforms? It is odd to purchase this game without ps+ essential?

@lazymike Split screen would cripple the game and render a lot of the puzzles pointless.

@Ravix I’m allergic to online games as a general rule, regardless of the critical score. Props to the dev team though because it does look like quite a laugh, even though the scores might be suspect (😜)

In all seriousness though, this seems to be tapping into the Rocket League energy whereby giving the game on PS Plus probably helped increase the awareness and paradoxically boosted sales. It will be interesting to see if the game has legs to stick around in the public consciousness

Yes and I bought several copies for $13-15 each to play with my family. They need to sell a ton of copies because of the low price.

This game is absolutely incredible. Definitely a personal highlight of 2026.

@lazymike No split screen would absolutely ruin it. The puzzles are designed to be completed by people in seperate locations. It’s very carefully designed to limit communication at points both visually and auditory. So no discord or party chat either. Split screen would trivialise half of the puzzles and the end game.
