Yesterday saw the surprise re-release of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North on PS5 in a new Legacy Edition, and it sounds like developer Aspyr isn't stopping there: the studio plans to bring back even more classic The Lord of the Rings games.
In the press release that revealed the update to War in the North for modern systems, Aspyr said fans "can look forward to even more classic releases by Aspyr from the beloved franchise in the future".
This opens up the possibility for a number of The Lord of the Rings titles to return on PS5, from the game adaptations of the three main movies and The Hobbit to the many side projects. The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King were all adapted on PS2, and then there are other games like The Third Age and Conquest.
