If you’re interested in PS Plus Essential game Dying Light 2, but not sure if you can be arsed with another open world grind – well, there’s good news, courtesy of dev Techland.
The Polish studio is plotting patch v1.29 on 3rd August, a day before the game’s addition to PS Plus Essential.
And interestingly, this will “significantly accelerate” progress across the game’s opening ten hours, helping you to get to the good stuff faster.
Here’s what the press release says:
“The early progression has been significantly accelerated. Players unlock skills and level up almost twice as fast during the first ten hours of gameplay. Core abilities such as Dropkick, Heavy Attack, and Slide become available much earlier, allowing players to experience the full parkour and combat system sooner.”
As the blurb notes, this is all about unlocking the full scope of the game quicker, so there’s less grinding overall. It’s an interesting tweak, especially as the game is expected to get an influx of players alongside its PS Plus Essential inclusion.
