Sony's Stellar Blade Will Let You Goon on the Go with Switch 2 Port 1

Korean dev Shift Up has been saying for quite some time it wants to release Stellar Blade everywhere, and it looks like its publishing arrangement with Sony is now officially over.

While PlayStation published the PS5 version of this excellent hack-and-slash as a timed console exclusive, it came to PC last year. And now the dev itself has confirmed it’s porting the title to the Switch 2.

None of this is massively surprising because it reflects comments the studio has been making for a while. Boss Hyung-tae Kim also recently praised PlayStation as a publishing partner, so I don’t think the companies have fallen out.

Shift Up understandably wants to grow the brand, and after leaning on Sony’s marketing clout to help establish the franchise in the west, it’s now ready to spread its wings.

Remember, new game Stellar Blade: Blood Rain will also be self-published by the Seoul-based studio – although that’s likely still years away.
