Not sure Dying Light's new Platinum Edition counts as part of the Days of Play sale but it is discounted at the moment and having finally purchased it after years of wondering about this game, I gotta say, I'm not that impressed. Maybe it gets better.
Is it common for more deals to be added? PS Plus subs? I'm not necessarily fussed either way but I am curious
Is there any precedent for top up credit from third party sellers to get steeper discount?
@ralphdibny You usually get pretty decent Plus offers during Amazon Prime Day event, thats where I always get mine from (in the UK )
@PaperAlien fair enough cheers, yeah I normally get mine whenever they go down to £30 (at shopto.net). I assume I must have bought it during last year's days of play because it just lapsed. I didn't really follow the sale last year so I wasn't sure if more deals get added over the sales period
@ralphdibny there usually is a psplus deal, but I didn't see one. Hopefully it gets added as this is when I get mine every year.
@ralphdibny I'm pretty certain more deals will be added later as I got my NOW and plus subs this time last year.
Just got an notification from Amazon and Demon's Souls is £44.15 which is the cheapest I've seen it.
@JohnnyShoulder @Elodin nice one, cheers for the replies! Hopefully they add some soon then!
No PS Plus or Now discount? May have to wait until Black Friday for the next round of sales (and then buy one from ShopTo as it'll be cheaper than the official sale price)?
Also, no PS4 or DS4 deals either?
@zupertramp it doesn’t get much better, Dying Light is great fun in quick sessions but the more you engage with the systems the more you realize how empty the experience is. I’m afraid the sequel is looking like more of the same, fingers crossed they learned to keep us hooked!
Waiting on a deal to stack on for PS+
I could do with a PS4 controller! Are they on offer?
Ghost of Tsushima £24.99 at Smyths.
Looking at the PS5 games. I really have a different perception regarding deals.
PS Plus is being discounted from June 1st for those waiting for it. Last year ShopTo undercut Sony so worth keeping an eye out.
@Martijn87 You have to realize that the PS5 has only been out for 6 months, so the PS5 deals will not be as good as PS4 until Black Friday/December 2021 or sometime in 2022 probably.
@KidBoruto
I realize and I understand it from a business point of view. It doesn't affect me much because I mostly buy the games that I really want on release. But it will be nice to see the launch games like Demon's souls be a little more reduced in price.
@Martijn87 Trust me I agree with you, would love to see Demon's Souls marked down to like $35-$40 New.
Sadly we have no choice but to wait, or hope someone on eBay/Amazon is willing to sell that low.
@Elodin @ralphdibny https://www.shopto.net/en/dls55907-playstation-plus-12-month-membership-p113292/
12 months of plus for £32.49
@JohnnyShoulder cheers, not bad at all!
Do you know if the codes have an expiry? I want to be a bit tactical about it because Star Wars is on game pass and Virtua Fighter is apparently a 2 month game so I wouldn't mind activating it once July's games are out, to maximise returns!
@ralphdibny I have no idea, sorry.
I did do a check on all my trusted web sites and there were the cheapest.
@JohnnyShoulder nice one! It's probably the cheapest it's going to go I reckon. It's not quite the usually 29.95 but it's not far off so I think I will pick up a code! Cheers for lettin us know!
@JohnnyShoulder thanks for the info, unfortunately I'm in the US so I cant partake in the deal.
@ralphdibny No worries! Yeah I renewed my NOW and Plus subs.
@Elodin There are offers on the PS store in the UK and on other sites, just not as cheap as that one, so it might be worth keeping an eye out if there are similar offers in the US drop in the coming days.
@JohnnyShoulder ah screw it, maybe I will redeem the code in the next few days once I've picked up the last few games I wanted to buy after my sub lapses.
I just realised the PS4 version of squadrons has a VR mode that could be worth a look in! Quite excited to try that Virtua Fighter though, probably the best game for me this month. I haven't played a virtua fighter since like VF2 so im very curious about trying the new one
@JohnnyShoulder Also worth noting that PS Now is the same price also.
Plus stacked to 2025 and Now stacked to 2023
@ralphdibny Its a good remake - mostly online orientated (ive had 1 laggy fight out of 4 so far) with an arcade mode for offline play however the Quest mode from the original Virtua Fighter 5 is absent which is a shame.
Plays exactly as you would expect and as far as I can tell the movesets, balancing etc is exactly the same as 5 Final Showdown.
Brilliant PS plus game which will get tonnes of hours from me and I ended up buying the DLC (think its about 7.99? It's basically some of the items from the Quest mode from VF 5 as far as I can tell) to hopefully push Sega in to making a VF6
@solocapers ahh sweet! Yeah itll probably be mostly offline modes for me anyway. I do love fighting games but I am not massively good at them haha
Bought a wee PS Plus sub. That's me set until May 2024 now. LOL.
@IronMike Ghost of Tsushima is £24.99 at Smyths.
