Ps5 Dualsense Controller Close Up

For all the marketing put behind the launch of the PlayStation 5, some parts of the internet consider it rather in vain since actually getting your hands on one starting today without a pre-order is a pretty tall order. While some outlets will have a limited number of consoles to sell, the next-gen system is effectively sold out everywhere. That shouldn't last for too long, however, as Sony's Jim Ryan says the company is working hard to flood the market with more PS5 consoles before and after Christmas.

In a new interview with the BBC, the PlayStation boss said: "We're making more PS5's in this difficult environment then we made PS4s in that launch. If people are unable to find one at launch, we're very sorry and apologetic about that. They can rest assured we're working really hard to get significant supplies into the market before and after Christmas."

It is obvious that the coronavirus pandemic has had a dramatic effect on both the rollout of PS5 and the reveals and streams in the lead up to launch. However, Jim Ryan says the firm is still very happy with what it managed. "This is going to be a bigger launch [than the PS4]. And I think given the circumstances we're in, that's something that we can be quietly proud of." For more information on PS5 Stock: When and Where Can You Buy PlayStation 5, head on through the link.
