It's an exciting day for Ghost of Tsushima fans as the game has just received its biggest update yet. Available to download now on PS4, patch 1.12 weighs in at 9.9GB, and adds a crazy amount of new stuff to the open world epic.
The headline act here is of course Ghost of Tsushima Legends — a full co-op mode complete with character classes, unlockable gear, and otherworldly enemies. Legends is a totally free addition, but you will need to have an active PlayStation Plus subscription to play with others online.
As for Jin's solo adventure, Sucker Punch has introduced a whole load of cool features. First up, New Game + allows you to start the game over with all of your skills and equipment from a previous playthrough intact. It also adds new cosmetic items and super powerful charms.
On top of that, Armour Loadouts let you save your favourite equipment sets so that you can easily swap between them as the situation demands. What's more, new options have been added to the already comprehensive photo mode, and your save file now tracks how much time you've spent playing.

The most important question is.. will there be trophies added to these DLCs? LoL
As much as I want to give this a whirl, I'm going to wait for the PS5. 60 fps and a new controller will make new game plus truly feel like a new game.
@Brasilkilla yep i believe there are new trophies for ng+ and for legends mode!
Can't wait to see how much time I spent on the game lol. I think I'll stop playing the game after I finished 100% the game 2nd island, I want to play the 3rd island on ps5, with much smoother 60 fps framerate

For me, what this game absolutely nailed was immersion. The dreamlike beauty of the island combined with Jin’s delicate place within the narrative put me in a headspace that really drove home the idea I was fighting to take back something special-something I love. That’s not an easy thing to so readily communicate and it’s what made the game work for me. I’m excited to see what (if any) new depth is added by sharing this experience with a friend.
Unfortunately this game never is "more than a game" but for that it's pretty awesome. Sure is no masterpiece or artwork like a TLoU2 or similar (way too "gamey" for that) but the world is just incredible. Could have been a masterpiece as well (without the "gamey" parts) but oh well. A "real" multiplayer would be awesome too, but probably not possible.
@Brasilkilla trophies for multiplayer sections of games are a ridiculous idea. Hate it hate it hate it.
@Artelous how is gamey bad? Your comment is a pretty broad stroke. A game that is cinematic is somehow better than a game which is traditionally gamey?
I have far more fun when a game is traditionally gamey. Games which try to be movies are fine and all but I think it’s fairly limiting because they are different mediums and games absolutely cannot have the same level of control or nuance that a good film has.
