Hype master Geoff Keighley has gone hands on with the PlayStation 5's DualSense controller. We already knew that the DualSense would be a bit bigger than the PlayStation 4's DualShock 4, but it's nice to see the two controllers lined up together. The next-gen device is slightly larger than its predecessor with some additional bulk added to its body.
Keighley also confirms that the PS5 pad is a little heavier than the DualShock 4. Sony's current-gen controller is relatively light, and it seems as though the DualSense won't be that much heftier. But the added internals, such as the haptic feedback, naturally give it a more dense feel.

Looks like a good size honestly. Not as big as the leaked pictures would have you believe though.
Honestly it's a similar sort of size to the X1 Controller, maybe a little thicker though.
The analog sticks already look worn out tbh

I caught the last 15 mins of the stream, I love the dualshock but dualsense looks better for me as I have big hands, and those curves look comfy to hold!
Just imagine how much more real TLOU2 will feel with the resistant shoulder buttons and haptic feedback. 😤
Is it true this controller will be compatible with the ps4 as well? And also rumoured to be released before the ps5 is out?

I hope it's not too big, dualshock 4 is actually a perfect size for my hand.
Now that we’ve seen all there is to the Dualsense I think it’s about time to show off the UI
@huyi they have said that PS4 accessories will be compatible so it’s likely, although controllers have not been confirmed for sure.

I’m definitely happy they’re a bit bigger. Controllers have grown with me from my first pong machine then the sega master system controller which were perfect in the 80’s. I wonder if there is a smaller option for kids? Not that I’m too bothered as it won’t affect me.
Just show us the buttons on back already..i know they are there and its the only reason why there are no pics of the back. Its just one more secret they are waiting to announce
I liked the smaller feel of the ps4 controller actually (and its looks too, I can't get over these garish new looks) and prefer it to the chunkier xbox and switch Pro controllers. I suppose it's too much to ask being able to use it for the ps5?
As someone with big basketball palming hands, I love the DS4 controller's size and weight, so if the Dualsense is going to be a tad bit bigger and heavier I'm all for it.
I like it But you have to try it for a few hours to really know if you like it. Er I hope so because then gaming will be horrible all next Gen if not(I'll still play anyway till I bleed)
I like the new controller alot, the dualshock can be uncomfortable for me after a couple of hours.

Will the rubber on the thumbsticks wear off again? Hopefully not the same material
@Enuo Let's be nice to Geoff! But yeah, the dualsense controller is looking amazing. The rubber on the joysticks have a deeper indentation than the DS4, and the face buttons seem further apart too. Hope it's comfortable to use

It can be as big or small as it wants but all I care about is how long does the battery last?
