Long PS4 Games Single Player Story Longest Games on PS4

What are the longest PS4 games? For this guide, we've compiled the 15 longest games on PS4 — but we've set a few boundaries. For starters, all of these games can be played through alone — they're all single player games to a large extent. Next, they're all story-based — again, to some extent. This rules out titles that offer a massive amount of content, but have no real story or obvious path to completion. And finally, we're only including games that we think are worth your time and money. All of the games in this guide are highly rated.

If you're looking for PS4 games that are going to take you weeks to fully complete, then this is the list for you. The list itself descends based on average length, with PS4's longest game being number one. For more on the Best PS4 Games, click through the link.

Long PS4 Games

Below is a list of long PS4 games, along with our expected completion times.

15. Dark Souls III (PS4)

  • Average Length: 60+ hours (with DLC)

You can blitz through Dark Souls III incredibly quickly if you really know what you're doing, but for most players this punishing action RPG can easily eat away at your time. Even without taking all of your inevitable deaths into account, Dark Souls III is a sprawling adventure that's packed with secrets. If you want to see every boss and soak up as much lore as possible, you'd best prepare weeks in advance.

14. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (PS4)

  • Average Length: 70+ hours

Capcom's fantastic action RPG isn't quite open world, but its atmospheric setting can keep you enthralled for hours on end. Dangerous adventure awaits all across the land of Gransys, and things only grow more intense once you arrive on Bitterblack Isle. Although it doesn't have the happiest fantasy world on PS4, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen remains a gripping remaster that hides many untold stories, secrets, and oddities off the beaten path.

13. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III (PS4)

  • Average Length: 80+ hours

If you're looking for a really meaty character-driven story with anime sensibilities, Trails of Cold Steel III may be the Japanese RPG for you. Boasting a gigantic cast and a plot with plenty of twists and turns, it takes a long time to get through this densely packed adventure. We should mention, though, that Cold Steel III carries on the story of Cold Steel and Cold Steel II, making it a direct sequel. If you want the full experience, we'd recommend playing all three of these great RPGs, which could run you close to 300 hours if you want to see absolutely everything.

12. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age (PS4)

Average Length: 80+ hours

Easily the most in-depth, single-player Final Fantasy title on PS4, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is an excellent remaster of a classic RPG. The story itself is suitably lengthy, but the real longevity of this game can be found in exploring its vast and varied world. There are huge dungeons to uncover and super powerful optional bosses to defeat, making for a truly engrossing experience if you're looking for 100 per cent completion.

11. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4)

Average Length: 80+ hours

Rockstar's open world epic has one of the best told stories on PS4, and it goes on for bloody ages. Of course, we mean that in the best way possible. Thanks to a brilliant cast and some superb story missions, running and gunning your way through the mad adventures of Arthur Morgan is an emotional roller coaster. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an astoundingly detailed game that demands your full attention, even if you're just watching the sun go down after a long day of skinning small animals.
