It's going to be a big weekend for Monster Hunter enthusiasts, as a brand new siege is now live in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. The fearsome Safi'jiiva, which seems to be an adult version of the base game's Xeno'jiiva, is taking on all challengers, and you'll have to defeat it over the course of multiple skirmishes in order to finally bring it down. It promises to be one heck of a battle.

While you can technically take it on alone, it's recommended that you bring other players. Safi'jiiva has a mechanic -- much like the Final Fantasy Behemoth crossover hunt -- where it'll focus on whoever's doing the most damage to it. That player will then have to keep its attention while everyone else tries to bring it down.

If you want a quick guide on how best to approach this fight, Capcom's posted a brief video that outlines some strategies. You can watch that below.

The Safi'jiiva siege will be live until the 4th January 2020, so you've got a few weeks to get the job done. But don't worry too much if you can't find the time, as Capcom says that the quest will be returning periodically.

It's worth noting that if you do manage to seize victory, you'll be able to craft some amazing looking equipment, and loot some powerful, somewhat randomised weapons.
