The hit game is already selling incredibly well on PS4, but Sony and Marvel are looking to break records in more ways than one. Marvel's Spider-Man has been a big success, and on the back of its significant momentum, the companies rallied together to break a Guinness World Record during Stockholm Comic Con.
Chief editor at Marvel, C.B. Cebulski, tweeted out about the world record attempt, and an amazing 547 fans took part. Now, Sony and Marvel hold the Guinness World Record for the largest number of people dressed as Spider-Man in one location.
Who knew this was even a record to shoot for in the first place? It's pretty silly seeing hundreds of people dressed in the game's Advanced Suit, but it does go to show that the PS4 exclusive is putting Spidey back in the spotlight in a big way.

Oh dear
Back in the spotlight? I didn't know he was out of it
@RedMan33 I believe he meant back in the spotlight on gaming.
This is amazing 😂
@RedMan33 Good point, but I more meant that the game has put Spider-Man back into the public mind share. He's always popular, but since just before the game's launch, he's been pretty much everywhere.
Oh good, it's just stupid. My initial reaction was horror that it would be some weird Beatles related thing.
Cool, man sony really strikes gold with this game
@Rob_230
I..I wanted to say just that.
Great minds think alike . 😀
I'd love a re-enactment of this in GTA Online so that I can mow them all down in a truck.
Better watch out, Thanos.
Flash mobs being used for good. I never thought I'd see the day.
@Quintumply yeah I kinda get that, it's probably the most marketed game from Sony it does seem to be everywhere
