In order to play The Frozen Wilds DLC in Horizon Zero Dawn, you’re going to need to ensure that you’ve fully completed the main quest A Seeker at the Gates. From this point you’ll be able to access Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds, though the quests are tuned around characters that are Level 30 and beyond. This is a difficult DLC pack so you may want to come back when you’ve finished much of the main story – we struggled even with our Level 50 character.

In order to start the new quest line in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds, you’re going to want to travel to the very North East portion of the map, just above the location marked the Grave Hoard. At the top of the hill, you’ll find a wall with blue lights and Banuk paintings attached to it. Scale this and you’ll eventually stumble upon a tribesperson who will give you a quest and begin your journey into The Frozen Wilds.
