TGS 2016: Earth Defense Force 5 Looks Suitably Ridiculous on PS4

EDF! EDF! EDF!

The Push Square office erupted into chants of "EDF! EDF! EDF!" earlier today when Earth Defense Force 5's existence was confirmed at Sony's Tokyo Game Show 2016 press conference. The title's first trailer is exactly what you'd expect: stupidly oversized bugs, utter chaos, and more clipping than your eyes can handle. The game launches on PlayStation 4 at some point next year in Japan.

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. Never played one of these games and after watching that video I now know why!Are they supposed to look as crap as that?lol

I still don't get it? Is it a joke? Are the devs just bad and this game so bad that it's actually good? Or is it all done on purpose?

SMH at the people with awful taste.....

Let's hope this comes out in December in Japan.
I'm ready to import this again and then double dip when it's released in Europe 8 months later.
Would love to be able to play non-stop it during my 2 week winter break.

@Wazeddie22 See? The problem is you never tried it, try it first than you gonna love it or hate it! Don't fall for critics or trailers. I'm absolutely love EDF 4.1, it's a freakin good game with ps3 graphics but tons of fun! I hope it's coming soon to EU!

@Octane It is really good, especially co-op. My main complaint is some missions do start to drag, there is like 100 or something on 4.1? I am about halfway through with my girlfriend.

@illegalfreq ok I admit I have been tempted to try a game just to see what the fuss is about and I don't usually ever go by graphics but in this case the graphics and the game in general looks a mess and just puts me off.If one of the games ever comes to PS Plus I'll d/l without hesitation.
