Somehow it's already time for another episode of the Push Square Podcast where Ben Potter and myself bring you all the latest goings on in the world of PlayStation in a super-serious and highly professional manner. We usually give you the hot takes on all the happenings of the last fortnight, but considering the Mordor-esque temperatures we endured to deliver this episode, the takes are more of the lukewarm variety
In this episode, we dissect the upcoming explore-athon from Hello Games by asking the question: will No Man's Sky live up to the hype? Our all-important guest of honour this week is Robert Ramsey, who drops in to discuss the differences between a clementine and a satsuma. Oh, and to talk a bit about I Am Setsuna. Indie Bin this week is Asemblance, a psychological mystery game born from the minds of ex-Destiny developers. Additionally, we continue our new section of the infamous WAYP where we briefly let you know what games we're currently sinking our teeth into.
We round off the show, as always, with the great questions asked by you guys in our forum thread. We love chatting with you guys and hearing your feedback about the 'cast, so please feel free to drop a comment in there, in the section below or now you can email us at [email protected].

Can't wait to listen. Apparently the 'gulls of Northern England make a cameo this week, too.
Great pod as always guys. As far as the hype surrounding NMS is concerned, I do not think a singular answer will work. For some people, like myself, it will most certainly live up to the hype. We have done our homework, know that the game is something we like and have our expectations in check. For others, it will most certainly not live up to the hype. For whatever reason I have noticed that with this game in particular there are a TON of misconceptions floating around. So any people are completely misinformed about what the devs have promised and what the game will be. Those who are expecting much more than what all the videos tell us the game will offer are certainly doomed for failure. I do think it will go down as the biggest Indy console hit thus far.
Most of the hype is from the consumers not hello games. Most of that was a big surprise to Hello and Sony. It will be a game that will have a core group that love it and one that will not. I have my copy pre-ordered I like Elite Dangerous on PC. I know I like will this game already. As long as we don't get into the broken stuff you talked about.
In the worst case its a cool tech-demo with mainly sight-seeing ... that would be ok for me, it would be somehow like journey - and I loved that game so much
Everything more will be great
Great podcast as always, guys. Loved the chat about the variants of oranges and their differences. The seagull and the bus need their own section, I think
I'm also very much looking forward to Hyper Light Drifter. It looks really strong. I'll be interested to hear Mr Tarrant's thoughts on it in the next show
Question - is Ben related to Harry? And if not does he hate having that surname?
Nice podcast as always, love it. Seems a lot of people think No Man's Sky might be a stinker. I love that it's doing its own thing though and isn't playing it safe. Sometimes it's worth taking some risks. Makes it all the more exciting.
I wonder if it will be one of those games that massively divides opinion on release, getting scores all across the board. One thing's for sure, it's going to be unique in a lot of ways. Not long to go now.
@LieutenantFatman That's a cool way to look at it - I'm certainly intruiged to what it will achieve and also what it will inspire. Something's got to take the first step after all.
Glad you're enjoying the show too!
Hopefully the game comes out if this has anything to do with it: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-07-21-why-no-mans-sky-fans-are-worried-about-a-patented-superformula, first SKY & now the patented maths Superformula Hello Game's uesd to make No Man's Sky.
