Forever friends

The Last of Us’ gruesome undead enemies may have lost the use of their eyes, but fortunately there’s no ghastly fungal infection in the world that we currently reside. Sony should have paid better attention to that fact before accidentally attaching a release date to the survival horror’s upcoming expansion pack Left Behind, which was spotted on the PlayStation Store by a gaggle of quick-witted NeoGAF forum members.

A pre-order promotion on the digital plaza indicates that the add-on’s set to consume your attention on Valentine’s Day, so you better warn your other half that dinner is cancelled. While the 14th February may not fall on an ordinary online update day – it’s a Friday, y’see – we wouldn’t be overly surprised if the platform holder bent its own rules for a first-party release this big.

As mentioned earlier in the week, the hotly anticipated expansion will set you back a steep $14.99, but will be free with the title’s Season Pass. A 60-second trailer released on IGN shows the opening moments of the new campaign, which sees protagonist – and playable character – Ellie being mock-assaulted by her companion Riley. Check it out in the space below, and let us know if you’re desperate to play this in the comments section.
