In a dank cave deep beneath Japan Studio, a caged catbird is ruffling its feathers. Asked the inevitable question about a certain title at the Tokyo Game Show this week, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida told Game Informer that the platform holder is merely waiting for the “right time” to reintroduce The Last Guardian.
“The team is still there in Japan Studio, [creative director Fumito Ueda] is still there, but we are still waiting for the right time to reintroduce it,” he said, no doubt with a roll of the eyes. Earlier in the year, the aforementioned Ueda-san noted that the title was in “earnest” development, but that fellow projects Puppeteer and Knack were taking priority. With the former already out of the door, though, surely our favourite animal can be set free soon?
We refuse to give up hope on the game, even though we’ve been talking about it for over four years now. The thing is, with the media queries showing no signs of fading, we reckon that the Japanese giant would have said something earlier if the title had been cancelled. However, it’s clearly being retooled for the PlayStation 4. The bigger question is: when will be the right time to reintroduce it?

It'll be interesting to watch the evolution on the gen as it unfolds. They're probably keeping it saved up to make sure there's no drought or something. After the first waves of "what's a ps4?" titles, we'll get into the really incredible experiences like this.
I'm all for the wait if it means it will be the best it can be. The exclusives Sony has put out the past few years have just blown my mind.
I'm patient on the game, I can wait. It'll come out someday for the PS4. It might be the last PS4 game made, but it'll come out eventually non the less. And I will be happy when that day comes.
i think ( i know we say this every year) but it will be announced at E3 as a PS4 title
It's dead to me now TGS was my cut off point
