Ever since the opening of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, rain has been used as a barometer to judge the quality of a new system’s visuals. Fortunately, upcoming PlayStation 4 release Watch Dogs looks like it’s more than up to the task, with this gameplay demo showing protagonist Aiden Pearce driving through Chicago while the heavens open overhead.
This sequence – which was shown during the Sony press conference – actually features some pretty interesting mechanics. We love the way that you’re able to remotely adapt the scenery in order to toy with your pursuers, using car alarms and radios to force your foes out of the way. Plus, who doesn’t want to escape from a city-wide headhunt in a stolen speedboat?

This looked awesome at E3. With this game and Killzone, PS4's day one won't be as much of a drag as PS3's was.
Have they shown any gameplay of the PS3 version? Just curious.
@JaredJ I don't think so. Obviously, it's not going to look as good, but I'm sure it'll still be solid.
this looks like it'll be my GotY.
@KAHN You obviously haven't played The Last of Us ;P
