Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Solid Snake’s new voice actor will be revealed during Konami’s pre-E3 press conference on 6th June, according to a teaser image posted on NeoGAF. Legendary performer David Hayter waved goodbye to the character earlier in the year, after insinuating that he wasn’t even approached to play the part in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. With Hideo Kojima at the helm, though, we wouldn’t be surprised if the past couple of months have merely been a ruse, and Hayter will assume the role anyway.

Taking to Twitter, Kojima hinted that the title’s latest trailer will purposefully avoid lots of explosions, and will focus on gameplay instead. “It’s time consuming since there's lots of gameplay scenes in the next trailer,” he wrote. The developer also posted the above image, which is presumably from the video.

Konami’s pre-E3 press conference is set to start on 6th June at 18:00PM BST. In addition to new details and footage from Metal Gear Solid 5, it will also include a brief look at the next Pro Evolution Soccer game, as well as Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. Naturally, we’ll have all of the headlines.
