Sony may be turning back the clocks to the late Victorian era, as the platform holder has registered a couple of trademarks for a title named The Order: 1886. The listing – which popped up on an official North American website overnight – was filed on 18th April. Fascinatingly, the platform holder submitted a similar request in Europe last month via the Netherlands, the nation in which Guerrilla Games just so happens to be based.
We already know that the studio is working on a new intellectual property in addition to the already announced Killzone: Shadow Fall, so we’d be surprised if this didn’t end up being connected. To add even more fuel to the fire, the domain name theorder1886.com was purchased by a third-party registration firm a little over a month ago.
With the Dutch developer’s focus currently on Killzone: Shadow Fall, it’ll probably be a while before we learn anymore about this project. Still, it doesn’t stop us from speculating, does it? What do you think that The Order: 1886 could be about? Let us know in the comments section below.

You clearly go around Reconstuction-era America inventing Coca-Cola, field hockey, induction coils, and gas cars, and dedicating the Statue of Liberty while becoming the 1st world chess master.
Sounds like a Dishonoured type of game.
