I've spent a lot of the last year or so revisiting some of the older games in my collection. I passed the tutorial level on "Driver" on my first attempt some 7 or 8 years since last having played it. I was pretty chuffed with that.
@RogerRoger Well I'd done it before many, many years ago after many, many failed attempts so it really wasn't that impressive a feat. I was just pleased that the old muscle memory kicked in and I was able to do it at first attempt on this playthrough. It's such an incredible game for its time - I'll never understand why they made the tutorial a) completely ruthless and b) mandatory for progression.
@lolwhatno Oh you sent a friend request on Apex? I was expecting one on PSN, I'll have to check it later on, might need another one sent.
I have competed, probably not as much as I should. I hit Apex Predator and that was good enough for me, I had to take a break because playing at that high of level was effecting my mental health lol. It's stressful when there's like 13 squads still alive at round 4.
@LN78 I'd argue that clearing the tutorial in Driver is always an impressive feat, regardless of background or circumstance. I was never able to complete it as a kid, and so settled for driving around the maps in that awesome Free Ride mode (which was enough to make me love the game anyway). Then I got it as a PSone Classic on PS3 a while back and figured I'd finally "play" the damn thing but again, even as an adult and with much, much more gaming experience under my belt, couldn't get out of that blasted garage.
Am glad to hear that the rest of the game is actually decent, but I'll have to take your word for it!
"We want different things, Crosshair. That doesn't mean that we have to be enemies."
@lolwhatno Definitely up to you, but you wouldn't be a bother man haha. I don't have some insane ego, I may be good but I play Apex casually these days. For fun rather than competitively.
