Looking at my bank balance and work that needs doing on my house etc, I'm probably going to have to ration out new releases next year and wait for sales etc. I think I am going to spend the first part of the year playing TW3 and shrinking that backlog. It will be tough with so many great games but not sure when I'll get the time to actually play everything and get what I need to do done.
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
Assassins Creed Origins. Very generous game. Crazy that some people are put off by micro-transactions. You never have to visit the dlc shop and you are never asked to.
Fave games played this year? For me its got to be Horizon Zero Dawn, the whole Dishonored saga, P5, Elite Dangerous and, surprisingly, the first Destiny. Still love playing GTA Online after updates, too.
My favorite 2017 game was undoubtedly Breath of the Wild. Not a huge fan of most open world games, and I have a love/hate relationship with the Zelda series, but I enjoyed pretty much every second of my time with this game.
Persona 5 was also pretty cool. Definitely the best entry in that series. Love how they brought back classic SMT elements like guns and demon negotiation.
@KratosMD I forget: have you played the Zero Escape games yet?
@KratosMD VLR is enjoyable on its own, but it has plot twists in it that are WAY better if you've already played 999, so I implore you to play that one first. The games are designed to be played in order, so not only will VLR be less effective as an experience, but you'll ruin 999 for yourself. 999 and VLR have some of the most intelligent and interesting plots in modern gaming.
I hate that 999 isn't a separate download apart from VLR on the Vita/PS4!
