Topic: Push Square Premier League Fantasy Football (soccer) ongoing seasons

Looks like I'm heading for my poor form to extend into this gameweek. Lots of players with 2 points including captain Haaland who isn't living up to his value of late. Might have to start considering swapping him. In typical fantasy fashion I benched Semenyo after 3 poor games and then he becomes my highest scorer (once bonus is added). Going to need something special from my remaining 3 players. My lead is definitely in danger.

@QualityGeezer That's awesome for your ex-postie. I remember hearing about someone just needing a 3-1 score from a Liverpool game recently to get all 6 score lines and the jackpot but missed out by 1 goal as it ended 2-1. That must have been gutting for that person.

@JohnnyShoulder I’ve not had a chance to watch the highlights of the games yet but it’s great that Liverpool has been able to capitalise when the others have slipped. Someone posted online that Arsenal are so far from Liverpool there is a forrest between them 😁

@BearsEatBeets Salah's goal was pure chef's kiss. I usually watch them on Youtube as i can't wait until MOTD these days.

@MatthewJP Thank you. I'm surprised too xD . My choices were pretty bad after the first couple of weeks but this week was great.

Do you still get a 2nd wildcard in January? I haven't used mine yet and don't want to let it go to waste but running out of time to use it if it does indeed reset.

Typically I transferred solanke out last week after losing patience and surprise surprise he gets a brace lol

@Khwarezm89 Belated congratulations on taking over the lead. It's looking like yet another poor week for me again so you might extend it this gameweek. The last 2 gameweeks my subs have done really well and this week when I having someone not playing my first sub has 1 point 😖

With how Man City are playing I'm actually starting to ponder switching out Haaland.

@QualityGeezer I did double check because I wasn't totally sure the if the first wildcard was lost if you didn't use it by the time the second starts but this is the rule:
The first wildcard will be available from the start of the season until Sun 29 Dec 13:00. The second wildcard will be available after Sun 29 Dec 13:00 in readiness for the January transfer window opening and remain available until the end of the season.

Well, Salah didn't disappoint me again and saved my a**. I'm glad I've decided to get Bruno Fernandez this week. Both of them performed well but the rest were horrible phew.

I jumped back up after Saturday only to fall down to dead last again. This has been a shocker of a run. Haaland’s been booted so probably you lot should triple captain him for this week.

@nessisonett I sold Haaland few weeks ago. TBH I can't trust Man City players so much since Rodri's injury.

This week for me was saved again by Salah and some contribution from Watkins + Brennan Johnson.

@Khwarezm89 Konate’s normally solid, Liverpool just had an off week. I’ll get round to fixing my defence, it’s just weighing up when to use that wildcard!

This has got to be one of the worst streaks of my Fantasy Football career😬. I've dropped 3 million places in the last 6 weeks and actually started losing some value in my squad. That's probably mainly due to me sticking with Haaland for too long. The sensible part of my brain says I should switch to Salah like most people doing better than me but part of me thinks he has to start scoring again soon, right?!

Heads up in case anyone hasn't noticed, there is a midweek gameweek with a deadline tomorrow. All the games are on Prime if you have it.
