@JohnnyShoulder Iām pretty sure my seasonās as good as over already since I went for the wide approach with expensive midfielders over Haaland! Not my fault Foden apparently got the runs after celebrating at a curry joint!
Wasn't sure where else to post this but shout out to Sven, RIP, seemed a really decent bloke all round, also a note for the touch of class by Liverpool FC (I'm a Utd fan) who let him manage their recent legends team as a life long Liverpool fan.
@Khwarezm89 I couldnāt afford him without shuffling my whole team around so I chucked Foden and got Son, which I expect to be a disaster of a decision š
@Khwarezm89@nessisonett I've relented and got Haaland in. I had to use my wildcard and swap 8 players around to afford it though. It was mostly fine as I wanted rid of most of them anyway. Only swap I made that I didn't want to take out was Gordon. I had to do that though as I realised I only had about 5 million per player left after adding Haaland š.
@BearsEatBeets that's an early wildcard considering you're only 10 points from the top. I'm going to leave it a couple more games to settle down a bit, see if Foden starts playing and if Chelsea decide on a starting 11...
@MatthewJP True but it's pretty common for me. I don't think there have been many, if any seasons where I don't use one in the first 3/4 weeks. I tend to think the start of the season is the most probable time your team can be most wrong if players/team don't start this season on the form of the last. It's also possible all the players I dumped go on and have a good gameweek now though š. Captaining Palmer saved me from another poor week though. @QualityGeezer yeah I think that will be a big deal this season along with it not wiping how many you have banked even if you use a free hit or Wildcard. Curious to discover what possible things the mystery chip does. I have to assume it's one of a few possible things otherwise someone could just make a second team and use it week one to see what it does.
Well I've also used a wildcard already. And I had Haaland! Mainly due to a few decidedly meh start to the season from a few who I was expecting to fly out of the blocks... I'd gambled on Mateta and Muniz starting the season like they ended the last one. I also had a feeling Newcastle were going have a good start... Wrong, wrong, wrong.
So I now have a new plan. I wonder if this approach will work.
And I had no idea about the banking 5 transfers thing so thanks for that.
