Topic: FFVII Remake Petition

Dear Final Fantasy VII fans,

]Here is a petition I found online that supports the calling for Square Enix keep to main story of Final Fantasy VII during the next parts of Final Fantasy VII Remake. The ending of the game in this first part worried A LOT me and friends of mine regarding the next parts. They promised the remake and are doing a great job so far, until "the scenario" proposed in the end...

For the new Players: It is a new story.
For the fans of the 1997 game: It is one of the best stories ever told/played.

So please sign this to keep an amazing story to the game for both new and old players. If the new redactors want that bad to create another story, please do a different game sequence or as DLC. But KEEP THE ORIGINAL STORY!

@AlanPCS look i understand people are confused by the ending OF THE FIRST CHAPTER but Square have already said that the game will still follow the main beats of the FFVII story, it doesn't need rebooting or remaking or changing via a update or DLC, this game was the first chapter in a series so people need to stop assuming that it's been ruined, wait until the next part is out so we can see what it all means before jumping to conclusions and stop making a mountain out of a mole hill

and you know what does it really matter if they change things up a bit? it's not like every copy of the original is suddenly going to vanish of your hard drives or spontaneously explode, the original will always be there, this REMAKE (and people REALLY need to learn what that word means and it means make (something) again or differently see DIFFERENTLY) does NOT replace the original in any way shape or form, they say so themselves

[/quote] @FullbringIchigo I understand your points. I actually liked the increments in the game. On the ther hand, I missed some puzzles from the OG. But so far, it was doing alright and the game still great.

However, Square Enix may also had the idea of splitting the game to see how fans would react with this "new ending", to check wherever they would go from that point on (or a little bit ahead).

I enjoyed a lot playing it, but the even remote idea of Zakk being alive, for exemple, makes the greatest thing about the game inconsistent. And this thing is the Story. Those who played Crisis Core recognized that scene with Zakk x the shinra mini army (which I loved seeing in FF7R). That is the trigger to the events in FFVII.

I am hoping also for the best here.

@AlanPCS oh it's possible that they did it that way to gauge fan feedback but i don't think they need to change it because we still don't know what they are doing in the next part, that's why i think people should hold off and see what's next before writing it off completely

part 2 might come out, explain everything and then suddenly this ending might be one of the best in the franchise

@FullbringIchigo Imho, the petition only shows how many people think about the divergence of the story, nothing more. I hope you are right Let's wait.

@AlanPCS honestly it's the best thing to do, Square know how important this is to the fans they wont want to mess it up
