Update on my latest purchase - Nioh Collection. Last night managed to finish the first game (yet to start the DLCs) and have to say that I absolutely loved it. Nearly 70 hours of pure fun. Once you get the hang of the combat it just feels awesome to slash enemies. The game story is Meh.. but that's fine - this game is all about the gameplay. Given that I spent 70 hours for the main campaign for the first game and still have the second one and all dlcs, this package's value is absolutely great. Given you're into these type of games.
On another note - just pre-ordered Returnal, so guess that's my latest PS5 purchase
I just picked up demon's souls, I never played the original but the only souls game I didn't like was ds2 so I'm looking forward to sitting down with it. The only thing that worries me is I hear magic is really op in this game so I hope people aren't just spamming magic in pvp.
@Jecht_Ultima Deacon hate and not enjoying Dark Souls 2? Are you my alt account? All you need to say now is ‘Bloodborne is just OK but not the masterpiece it’s made out to be’ and I’ll be really worried 😂😂

@Jecht_Ultima Ok, here’s a good litmus test whether you are @nessisonett ‘s twin separated at birth — what’s better: Assassin’s Creed 3 or Assassin’s Creed Black Flag? 😛

Waiting on price drops as I just got my PS5. Jumping in on an old save for No Mans Sky. Looks great on PS5. I still have to find the center. I get side tracked easily.
Bought WRC 9 as the discount was good and I love jumping into a racing sim every now and then. Played a bit last night and have to say that it’s really good. Runs at smooth 60 fps, looks gorgeous and is quite hard. Best thing of all is the dual sense implementation. You can feel the gear shifts through the controller and as you break the car, the throttle and the brake triggers firm up. Highly recommend it to people who prefer the more realistic driving games in favour of the arcady games.
Picked up WRC and Werewolf in the sale as I'd had my eye on both. At the same time.
Quite when I'll get to them is another matter entirely as I'm currently partway through P5R, GoW, Judgment and Mafia 2. And I'm pretty much ignoring all those because I'm completely addicted to Snowrunner. My gaming patterns are a little messy.
Not technically a PS5 game but as it will get a free upgrade at some point and I won't be playing it anytime soon, guess it counts. Got Cyberpunk brand new for 20 euro. Yesterday 1 of the online retailers here wanted to do a discount and sell the game for 40 euros. But presumably somebody messed up the price and discounted it to 20. I managed to snap a copy before they realized the error and changed the price back up. Luckily for me they did grant the purchase and got the box today.
@velio84 that's a good deal - now wait at least until the upcoming 1.2 patch
I'm in no rush - the initial hype is long gone and have plenty other stuff to play so will most likely wait for the ps5 version. Hopefully the game will be in a better state by then
My copy of hitman 3 arrived, as well as a copy of hitman 2 to import those levels. I'm not sure if its my imagination but the cut scenes look to be running at a higher framerate than hitman 2 on ps5 backwards compatability.
Played a bit of the Tony Hawk upgrade. It... looks and plays the same as PS4 Pro. Pretty much. Bit smoother frame rate and much faster loading but then again, it doesn’t fix the pop-in issues in the store. It’s bizarre. Massive missed opportunity with the haptics too, they’re OK but as somebody who does actually skate on occasion, I know exactly what different terrain feels like and it would translate extremely well to the DualSense’s haptics. Adaptive triggers are slightly too easy to push for my liking, a tougher click would give reverts a bit more oomph. The D-Pad on the DualSense also outright sucks and I can’t use my DS4 so I’m screwed. It might honestly be better on the PS4 just because I way prefer D-Pad to sticks playing Tony Hawk and it’s borderline unplayable on the DualSense D-Pad.
@nessisonett Why is the DualSense D-pad so bad? It seems such a basic part of a controller and all they needed to do was bring over the DualShock4 D-pad... why did they change it, do you think?

@Th3solution I have no clue. Honestly, I wish they’d just make a big version of the Vita D-Pad. I have no clue why anybody would want a mushy D-Pad that feels totally imprecise but the Switch Pro Controller one is garbage too. It’s a shame because I really like the DualSense otherwise but I can see some games being quite hard to play because I tend to favour the D-Pad for 2D games and things like Tony Hawk.
