@Draco_V_Ecliptic It's in third person, it involves roaming around an open map, fighting randomly spawned enemies with melee combat, you have a weapon you can throw that comes back to you, you can upgrade your moves and skills, and you fight bosses and progress through a story. God of War is a much better game, but in basic terms, they are very similar.

@LTMGameplay I might just go back to God Of War then. Do you know of any optional bosses in that game besides the Valkyries? I just got ACO 'cause it was in the sale and today was the last day.

Nioh Remastered collection... still haven’t even played Nioh 2 on PS4 yet (been saving it as I know I’m gonna enjoy it so much). Now I know I have the two games to plat all over again but in glorious 4K 60 on PS5, I’m gonna bump Nioh 2 PS4 up the schedule a bit.

Got Sackboy in the mail today. Played the first three levels with the GF. So far so good. It's quite easy, but she's having a good time.

I ended up getting it from Amazon.de for €89, which is only nine euro more than the limit I had set myself.

I bought it from them for 3 reasons

1) I know Amazon (though this is the first time I brought through German site, I usually use the UK site but Brexit has made that more difficult and expensive, word is their opening an Irish center, hope it happens soon)

2) Amazon automatically include all the vat and duties charges in their price before you pay so there will be no surprise extra charges problems when its being brought into Ireland which could delay delivery.

3) They are usually quite fast with deliveries, mine is due Sunday (although our national postal service doesn't deliver on Sundays) but I expect it will be here by Friday since I ordered it yesterday and it was dispatched late last night!

@Octane "but shes having a good time"

But are you? Haha.

Me and my partner will quite regularly play games together (even singleplayer; which means switching between who's controlling), but our tastes sometimes vary greatly. They love American and cinematic open world games the most, whereas I love Japanese arcade-y games way more.

So sometimes we'll play a game together we both truly adore, but there're also times where one of us will make a concession.

@Pditty1980 cool, glad it all panned out. I’m finally gonna start Nioh 2 (PS4) next June... prolly get around to the PS5 remasters by the PS6 🤞.

@Pditty1980 I really enjoyed Nioh. Challenging games but mostly fair. The weapon stance mechanic works really well and the weapon types are all pretty distinct.

I liked that the game was more level based than the Souls games but there was a bit of a lack of enemy types.

And despite really enjoying the game, I’ve never felt the need to pick up the sequel for some reason.

@Thrillho

Well I have no choice but to get both since I bought a physical copy of the collection! LoL

@Papasears Do you think the format would work with Persona 3 or 4?

@Pditty1980 I found the original’s (I’ve still only played the original Nioh, while owning 2 on PS4 & PS5) difficulty to be fairly equitable with the Souls series... maybe a tad harder (which I liked). A friend of mine who loves the Souls series almost as much as I and has finished all 3 on multiple occasions has never finished Nioh... make of that what you will. Maybe the game seems a little more difficult due to having no I-frames.

@Papasears I really wanted to like Persona 5. I put around 15-20 hours in but have some strange aversion to turn-based action/combat. The fact that Strikers is real-time action ‘could’ swing me on it as I did love the aesthetic, narrative and flair of what I played of P5.
