What is your top 5 PS5 games so far?

Mine is...
1. Astro's Playroom
2. Pedestrian
3. Spider-Man Remastered
4. Control
5. Bugsnax

Hmmmm. This is hard because most of the games I’ve played are upgrades from the PS4 versions.

1) Astro’s Playroom
2. Disco Elysium
C: The Pedestrian
δ - Hitman 3
٥ ~ Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

Mortal Shell is utter pants so I couldn’t include it here. Disco Elysium is probably a better game than Astro but it’s a better PC game than it is a PS5 game, and that’s the name of the game.

Plumbing’s just Lego innit. Water Lego.

Trans rights are human rights.

No particular order: Astro's Playroom, Spider-Man (Miles Morales and Remastered, let's count them as one), Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Immortals: Fenyx Rising and Sackboy

Expecting Returnal to make the list in a week

Only played Spider-man: Remastered and Bugsnax so far... and I played AC: Unity on the 5 too but there is no specific boost as far as I am aware. I am looking forward to a nice little PS5 backlog building up for me by the time I’m done with the PS3 at least.

**** DLC!

First I’ll start with a caveat the best games on PS5 our PS4 games played with backwards compatibility.

The PS5 exclusives I’ve played are:

1. Astro bots play room : One of my favourite games of last year if you have a PS5 play it.

2. Demon souls : Good but not great. Better than dark souls 2 and blood-borne. Around the same as dark souls three. Not as good as the original dark souls or Sekiro. Your milage may vary as everyone seems to place these games in a different order.

3. Destruction all-stars played it for about half an hour and deleted it not worth trying.

Games with PS5 Version that I played.

1. The pathless A brilliant game and another of my favourite games from last year definitely recommended.

2. Sackboy a big adventure doesn’t hit the same highs as Astro bots play room and the lows are far lower but still a great game and has is vastly more to it.

3. Spider-Man Miles Morales A great short story and fun game.

4. Bug Snacks an interesting first personal puzzle game that I had great fun with.

5. Dirt 5 I always like a good driving game and this is definitely a good driving game.

Games I’ve played on PS5 through backwards compatibility.

1.Ys 9 Monstrum Nox my game of the year so far.

2. Tetris Effect yes I still like Tetris and have installed it on my PS5

3. Persona five strikers not up there with the last three mainline persona games but still a great game but worth playing after you’ve completed persona five.

4. Dead or alive six The disk I put into my PS5 during the installation process and a game I’ve played a lot since.

5. Sword Art online Alicization Lycoris what I’m currently playing and I’ve enjoyed it so far.

I won’t go back over my favourite games on PS4 but I haven’t played since getting the PS5. With some games like 13 sentinels: aegis rim I can’t recall whether or not I played it on PS5 or PS4.

A non-PS5 owner's list:

1. Buyer's Challenge
This is a point and click adventure with the difficulty of a Soulsborne game. You select a level (or retailer) and simply keep refreshing the page in an attempt to secure a PS5. Frustrating but fiendishly addictive.

2. Covetous Stare
A walking sim where you wander through town until you find a shop which has a PS5 in the window, and proceed to stare at it longingly for hours. A hard difficulty was recently patched in, where the shops are now actually open for business, and an NPC appears and tells you to stop drooling on the glass.

3. Deliver Us From Evil
An open world driving game with an emphasis on moral dilemmas and decision-making. You are a delivery driver tasked with bringing people their PS5s, but when you get to the address you can decide whether to be a good guy and hand over the console, or steal it and replace it with a Nerf gun.

4. Scalp Stacker
A fun puzzle game where you buy up as many PS5s as possible, and then try to arrange them as neatly as possible in your apartment/parents' basement. As you buy more and more consoles, they pile up faster and faster. It can get quite frantic when they start getting close to the ceiling, arriving quicker than you can shift them.

5. Set-up Sim
A Sims-like life-management game where you eternally play around with your gaming setup, making space and getting your living room ready for the PS5. Entertaining, but overly long.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

@Gremio108 I liked Fortnotavailable a lot, a battle royale in which 100 gamers want a PS5, but there's only one. You can spend money on in-game items, but they're all cosmetic and won't help you get a PS5. (I won once, though).

Epic post, by the way <3

After my birthday yesterday and foolishly drinking like I'm half my age I really needed something to take my mind off this monster hangover... I couldn't of had better then a good laugh from you @Gremio108! 😁

Shame I can't like the post!

@Gremio108 You're gonna be so disappointed with an actual PS5. Those sound like way more fun, and I bet they were all fully ray-traced, with zero loading screens.

@Kidfried That actually sounds like it could be quite fun. Imagine a paintball battle royale for a chance to win a real-life PS5

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy I'm drinking later tonight for the first time in about a year and I'm fully expecting it to knock me completely off my feet. Happy birthday for yesterday!

@RogerRoger The anticpation is so much more exciting than the fulfilment. Especially when the only price is your dignity

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

@Gremio108 ...and with the cost of dignity at an all-time low, it's a guaranteed steal.

Oh, and I somehow missed @Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy mentioning her milestone, so allow me to add some belated birthday wishes to this reply!

@Gamer83 Not knocking the list since they are two pretty good games, but still, shocking that those are the top 2 games on your list.

Yup, not shocking since I've constantly mentioned on this website how much I like the Yakuza series, but I do genuinely believe it's one, maybe the best, going today. RGG puts out banger after banger.

KilloWertz

@Gamer83 I was going by your avatar actually.

Given how highly regarded the series is, I can't really argue with that, even if I've never played a game in the series.

I don't know about the other games but for the DS of the point and click adventure games you need to git gud.

The crowd, accepting this immediately, assumed the anti-Eurasian posters and banners everywhere were the result of acts of sabotage by agents of Goldstein and ripped them from the walls.
