Topic: problem downloading owned titles...

So I purchased an external hard drive for my PS5. When PS5 first came out. Downloaded a ton of games onto it. And it would periodically crash the PS5... So I stopped using it and returned the external Hard Drive. Now I have tried to Download some titles directly to PS5 and it wants me to delete them off external hard drive I no longer have first.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a work around?

@SeagreenSwitchblade My guess would be see if you can find the harddrive that you originally had and hook that one up to the PS5.

@SeagreenSwitchblade Have you tried rebuilding the database? That might work.

@SeagreenSwitchblade I didn't say to delete anything. Try locating the harddrive you had originally.

@Tasuki How the heck would or could he do that?! He returned it, there's almost no way he could possibly locate his exact hard drive again. He can buy the same model if it's in-stock, but that would not help him here. 😑

What @JohnnyShoulder suggested seems like the best bet to me.

@lolwhatno Seems more like a hardware flaw rather than consumer error though since if someone's SSD dies, it's bye-bye games that you own...

Ok my bad didn't see that it was returned. But why would you return it without transferring the games back??
