I feel like the entire point of Christmas is to treat other people, no? I’ve spent plenty on others, I didn’t even think about buying stuff for myself 😂
Christmas is an opportunity to give people the things you think they would enjoy or benefit from that they haven’t got for themselves. If I want something I don’t need an excuse to buy it for myself.
Erm, no. I've bought presents for others first. I usually get a bit of money/Amazon vouchers for Christmas so may use that to treat myself to something.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
Just spend a fortune on my niece's and nephews like I do every year. 7 of them between me and my wife, Very expensive these days especially as they are getting older. Worth it for joy I can see in their faces though.
I’m not really a fan of large scale gift giving. I definitely do give gifts to family and select friends, but I try not to go overboard with them. I base this on the fact that many of the gifts end up stashed away at the back of the closet or in a drawer forgotten within a few days. Or worse yet, returned to the store, or in a trash bin. Of course it’s the thought that counts, so I try to put a little thought and effort, knowing it might end up in the bin, but hopefully they got a little joy out of receiving it. Honestly, I’d just as soon not receive gifts anymore and just buy my own stuff. So I do treat myself some during this time.

I generally buy myself a game to open on Christmas during Black Friday deals. This year I got Guardians of the Galaxy (PS5) for $30. Good deal in my book.
Last year, I skipped the usual game as I got a PS5 at launch.
