Since were only less then a week away from ps5 I thought I ask what everyone’s favorite ps4 game was mine was final fantasy 7 remake let me explain. For most of the ps4 gen for me i was only allowed to play g to pg game (that’s e and e10+ for you Americans) and only recently was I allowed to see play m rated games (that’s t for teen for you Americans) and I played final fantasy 7 on the switch and I loved it I may not have the nostalgic connections others have but I loved ff7 then I picked up ff7remake after I was allowed to buy m rated games and I loved the graphics were great even on my tiny soniq tv I liked the change to make the gameplay more like ff15 and I loved the ways they expanded the story and retold it so that’s why ff7remake is my favorite ps4 games
To actually answer the question instead of laughing at people's grammer mistakes, I'll say Nier Automata. Persona 5 is very close behind in second place, though perhaps Persona 5 Royal could reach the top spot whenever I get around to playing it.
@Arugula Not exactly. You don't really need to play multiple times in the usual sense. Basically once you reach the first "ending", you're nowhere near the actual end of the game. Just carry on from there to continue with the game.
Just a heads up, it's a very long game, and it can drag on towards the middle. But an excellent story along with a fun hack and slash combat puts it as my favourite PS4 game.
I didn't get the magic of it @Arugula. Played it all the way through back in feb/march and found it very lacklustre overall personally... Though the soundtrack was pretty magical at least

@Arugula@JohnnyShoulder The multiple playthroughs is more akin to the Resident Evil style of playing through from another point-of-view. Except that the story does change as you go and you learn more important nuggets of info through these points of view. There’s a fair amount of lore and philosophy woven in that won’t resonate with everyone. But the story is more overt than say a Dark Souls, but at the same time it’s not traditional like a Mass Effect or Uncharted either. It’s pretty unique. And quirky. Especially toward the end, with fourth wall breaking tactics incorporated as well. The Japanese flair to the storytelling and characters also is a matter of taste, for sure.
One of my favorites too! @crimsontadpoles

My personal favorite game is Marvel's Spider-Man. It's the first game since Arkham City that made me feel legitimately proud for having invested my time into reading comic books and learning about these characters. It's a labor of love I don't think I've seen for Marvel and its universe since the Marvel vs. Capcom games or the early Activision Marvel entries.
@Arugula I'd say so at least. This is coming from someone who thought P5 was one of 2017's best games and still thought it was a tad overhyped. I think the additions to the story actually remedy a few of the complaints I had with the original, such as a lack of actual focus on addressing the topics it clearly wanted to tackle, and the gameplay improvements are really extensive in general. Something as small ammo replenishing after every encounter creates a pretty unique dynamic with battles.
My one big problem with this release though, is the DLC. I generally really despise when enhanced re-releases like this come with paid DLC developed alongside the game itself, because they basically took the content out of the game to sell it seperately for pretty stupidly absurd prices. Atlus did this with Catherine Full Body as well and it's probably worse here.

@Arugula This is one particular game I'm really interested in replaying on that console. Based on some comparison videos online it looks like the game boots up in like 4 seconds from a save file on the title screen, so clearly the SSD will play a big hand in fast travelling around Tokyo during the day time.
