I’ve got a lot of love for many that have been nominated already ( Aloy, Senua, 2B, etc. ) But I’m going to go off script a little and present a few less popular ones:
> Fetch (Infamous First Light)
Way more interesting than Delsin with a more fascinating’flawed hero’ arc. And Neon powers are more fun to play with
> BT-7274 (Titanfall 2)
The big lug is such a perfect companion and so easy to grow emotionally attached to
> Claude Wallace (Valkyria Chronicles 4)
I like how he grows through the game, and comes to win over the respect of his squad
> Sam Porter Bridges (Death Stranding)
One of my favorite games of the generation, and his weird and epic story makes you empathize with him so deeply
> Khotun Khan (Ghost of Tsushima)
I like him as a character even more than Jin. I’m still playing through the game but so far Khan is one of the best villians of this generation imo — so interesting, well-acted, and steals the scene when he’s in it. Cold and brutal, but intelligent and calculated. Can’t wait to see how his story ends.

@nessisonett If we ever have a 'best decapitated head' contest, I reckon Mimir's got it in the bag.
@RogerRoger Yeah I don't really know why I put Uncharted 4, I think I was just making sure that she definitely debuted this gen. You're right though, The Lost Legacy is very much where she comes into her own.
interesting that no-one has said the K-word yet.........
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
Thanks for all the nice words. Hasn't been a nice poll here in some time, and it's kinda fun looking back at the generation like this. This gen definitely didn't have a shortage of cool characters.
Sadie Adler - RDR2 Gaunter O'Dimm - The Witcher 3 Veronica - Dragon Quest XI Trilla Suduri - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Sera - Dragon Age Inquisition
Having looked through my games for this gen it's tricky to pin it down to 5 as there have been many great characters. Luckily some good ones such as Aloy and Gaunter O'Dimm have already been covered by others and well done @Shigurui for making sure Amicia De Rune got a mention. Some memorable interplay between Rhys & Fiona in Tales of the Boderlands, as well as Henry & Delilah in Firewatch came to mind but ultimately didn't make the cut.
So my 5 are
1. Regis - Witcher 3 Blood and Wine. Plays an integral role in the story with his connection to both Geralt and the antagonist. If you haven't played this expansion DO IT.
2. Queen Meve - Thronebreaker: Witcher Tales. If they converted the story of this game to a full open world rpg, it would make a great game.
3. Conor - Detroit Become Human. Surprised he's not yet been mentioned, his plot-line with Hank was the best part of the game for me.
4. Peter Parker/Spider-man - Marvel's Spider-man. Think this might be my favourite version of the comic character, better than the film interpretations.
5. Sadie Adler - RDR2. Known she has already been mentioned but thought she easily my favourite character from the game. I would buy a Sadie Adler story DLC in an instant.
@Arugula As far as I can tell, Persona 5 was released on both PS3 and PS4 on the same date. So I think Persona 5 characters are valid if I'm understanding the rules correctly.
