My ps3 slim is having an issue where the fans hit their maximum speed within about 10 min of playing practically any game. It honestly sounds like a hair dryer and never stops unless I exit the game. The thermal paste has been redone twice with Arctic MX-4, it gets cleaned out often and it is in a well ventilated area atop my desk. I also have it propped up about an inch off the desk. I am really out of things to try. I have noticed that if I run a desk fan blowing on it it has no issues at all and it will return to normal speeds if I leave it on the PlayStation Home Screen for a bit. My room is pretty warm this time a year so I am wondering if this might be an issue as well, although my super slim handles it fine. If anyone has any ideas your help is much appreciated. Thank you!
