Topic: Does anyone play any of the Senran Kagura games?

I'm thinking about getting the games on my vita and was wondering if anyone has played any of them, i would also like to know your thoughts on the game and if you enjoy it?

I've played all entries in the series aside from the latest Burst release, as that one looks to be a bit dead in the water in Japan on 3DS so may be a bit hit & miss on a localisation. Out of the 2 on PSVita (both work on PSTV too) I always recommend Shinovi Versus over Bon Appetit simply because its the one that'll appeal to more people. How are you for fan-service? The series has its fair share, but if you can look past that then there's some good games to be played.

Shinovi versus is an action brawler of sorts. It plays almost identical to Burst on the 3DS, but instead of being a side scroller - it uses a traditional 3rd person camera. People say it plays like Dynasty Warriors, and I can sorta see why, but to me thats underselling the game. I enjoy it a lot, and it has a lot of replay value due to multiple story modes & onlineplay for 4 players. Bon Appetit on the other hand, is a rhythm game - and a pretty good one at that. There's quite a variety to the soundtrack, and Hanzo is hilarious when it comesto tasting the food at the end.Worth it just to see the see with Hanzo screaming 'CRRRAAAAAAAAAAB'. Its cheaper than Shinovi Versus too, but thats because the games in 2 halves with the second half being DLC that adds more songs, stories, characters & unlocks. To be honest I think you may have just missed out on the 40% off sale, which would have had me recommending both.

Bon Appetit is a nice distraction, but Shinovi Versus will last longer if you can only get one or the other.

EDIT: If space is an issue, Shinovi Versus is about 3GB with Bon Appetit sitting at just over a GB
