Topic: Playstation keeps freezing and i have to factory reset

I swear to god this is driving me nuts it's the 4th time this year (since february) that my ps4 does this exact routine: it starts getting slow to load things then it starts to take much longer to open apps or open menus. and indefinite amount of time later (either that same session or 3 days) it gets stuck either trying to open an app or restarting because it got stuck doing the former. then when i have to shut it off after hours of trying to restart it just goes all to hell and it boots in safety mode after which i have to reinstall the system software and have to re download all my games and save data which takes forever because even with a cable my net is only about 10-50(if i'm lucky)mbp/s downloading files. it's driving me nuts. is there anything i can do to stop this or should i take it to repair?

@Kaiser_StuvePT Try checking the system error log when it starts slowing down see if theres some information that is other wise missed
