V Rising, the hit vampire action RPG that was announced for PS5 earlier this year, now has a confirmed release date. Following on from months of gameplay trailers and the title's full 1.0 launch on PC, V Rising bites into Sony's current-gen console on the 11th June. Yep, it's only a few weeks out.
The game's proven to be popular on PC, where it's enjoyed a very positive reception throughout its early access period. For those totally out of the loop, V Rising blends action RPG combat and character progression (think Diablo or Path of Exile) with survival and building mechanics, as you look to erect a vampiric castle of your own design and conquer the surrounding lands.
Oh, and going by the game's updated listing on the PlayStation Store, it looks like there'll be a 10% discount for PS Plus subscribers at launch. The full asking price is £32.99 / $39.99.

Wow 40 bucks, didn't think it would be this much.
A reasonable price (same on Steam if I can recall), and from what I hear, an incredible game. Cannot wait!
Already Pre-ordered. Blasting Diablo now, and will blast V Rising from 6th of June.

Very interesting. I lately enjoy diablo 2 ressurected so I'm intrigued.
Real question: if you can’t stand survival game mechanics, is this still worth picking up? The reviews look great and I’m interested in the setting, but it’s happened a couple times where survival mechanics put me off a game fast. Palworld, Rust, even Pacific Drive, I couldn’t do it.
@somnambulance The survival mechanics in V Rising are a bit... lighter than they are in those games. It's more about gathering resources and using them to craft things like potions and useful stuff for your castle.
Think Diablo with a base-building system and you're on the right track.

@ShogunRok OK that's actually good to hear. I'm not into the deeper survival games either, so hearing it's on the lighter/easier side is great. I can just focus on killing and watching the numbers go up!
I just want a pause button for solo play. Not having that makes the game unplayable for me.
I'm going to be a very old man by the time I get round to some of these games.

I almost bit on this game but heard the single player aspect is less than stellar. I have no desire to play multiplayer anything...
@tselliot I don't see coop superiority over single player in this game to be honest, is a survivor so the only difference probably is making things faster??? It feels like a lot of situations in the game work better playing solo because they are designed for you to do everything to stay alive. If the game clicks with you I don't see the necessity to even think in playing online, actually is quite the contrary. A lot of people enjoying the game but they are playing in a shared server, they log out and some mofos mess with their things, that can be funny with friend but everything is funny with friends so it doesn't represent the value of coop.
Had me at diablo and path of exile...lost me at base building and survival mechanics.
