@Holyfire Sony has stated that they can afford to be flexible with the PS4's price, so I wouldn't be worried.

@Stuffgamer1 Same here, dude. I'm American while I love me some shooters, I don't want to drown in them. And sports aren't really my thing - I'll play some basketball, wrestling and UFC games from time to time. But for the most part, they don't really interest me much.

@Gamer83 It's ridiculous because they took 359 steps backward and named it Xbox One. PS4 is easily the best console name, with Wii U coming second - even Ouya is a better name than Xbox One.

@rastamadeus At least the social features had something to do with games. The Xbox One (horrible name) seems to be more focused on competing against Directv and Comcast.

I think it looks fine, I'd proudly show it off to friends and family. Based on everything were lucky enough to be shown, I think the actual PS4 will look a lot sleeker than this.

@neumaus What kind of PS3 do you own, the super slim? Because I'm looking at my slim PS3 and I see nothing ugly about it.

If it was going to be as good as the Socom games, then i'm disappointed. Socom was one of the franchises that got me into shooters, the other being the Tom Clancy games - more specifically, Rainbow Six.

After The Last of Us, 2013 is going to be tortuous to my wallet. GTA V, Beyond, Arkham Origins, KZ: Mercenary, Tearaway, Watch Dogs, PS4, etc. 2013 is singlehandedly destroying my social life and i'm loving every second of it.

@AceSpadeS That's funny, because I can't play FPS competitively on PC. The mouse makes it way too easy, so it's never rewarding when I get a kill.

@FredyGarbagis There are also people who don't like MH and hate seeing every game be called a MH clone or compared to it in any way.

I'm excited for this, especially since Studio Japan is behind it. If more first party got behind the Vita like Studio Japan is doing, then it would be doing a lot better here in the states and Europe.

I was talking to someone about "simplistic beauty" just last night and this is a pretty good example of it. Not everything has to be some big spectacle, sometimes simple gets the job done just as well.

That has to be the sexiest game case i've ever seen. The subtle touches of blue really compliments the black (what doesn't?). I hope Sony goes with this kind of design, I would put all my games on display in wall mounted glass cases.

Sony needs to get their hands on a MGS deal, it would be a great counter to the CoD timed dlc deal that Microsoft is obviously going to continue. Just take care of CoD and they can find some way to deal with Fifa later.

They also need to take advantage of the fact that Microsoft has already fired it's Halo and Gears bullets this gen. Those were 2 games that Sony needed to make sure they had a counter to, if Microsoft had them at launch.

@IAmNotWill There are a lot of games that could top the Smash Bros announcement.

@rastamadeus Since Microsoft hasn't done anything to build up hype for their reveal, something simple like this was a safe move. Sure Microsoft could put on a huge show with lions, tigers, bears and reanimated dinosaurs, but right now people aren't very interested.

Due to all the videos that Sony put out before their reveal, Facebook was going wild with excitement. People know the Xbox reveal is coming, but all I ever see is talk of the new Call of Duty, not what they expect from Microsoft themselves.

I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see what people really think, though.

I'm so hyped for this game and being able to play as Deathstroke makes me even more hyped, since I planned on pre-ordering it anyway.

So far, all of the voices sound fantastic. Let's hope that Troy and Roger do a great job with Batman and The Joker, because Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill have set the bar ridiculously high.

@Gamer83 Wii U's still aren't flying off shelves, even with the promise of a new Mario Kart and SSB. That could all change once an official date is revealed, but as of now, no one has any plans to buy one.

Even the Vita is getting more attention due to God Eater 2, KZ: Mercenary, Tearaway; and while they are cross buy or Japan only title people have their eye on One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 and Jump-Stars Victory Vs. Then you have a lot of people who are interested in Panopticon, which is more than likely a Vita title.

Both are still young so you can't count either of them out yet. I plan on buying both, so I really hope they succeed. Only time will tell...

I'm fine with multiplayer as long as it feels natural. A lot of people usually complain about multiplayer saying "they're cramming in multiplayer to be like everybody else" and other idiotic things.

If ND can transfer the feel of the SP campaign into multiplayer, then I say bring it on.

So far, Delsin is looking like a very worthy successor to Cole. Hopefully we get to see some gameplay at E3, because I'd really like to see how the game looks.

Aside from some Mario Kart, I'm normally not much of a racing fan. But this and Drive Club are really steer me back into the genre.

@get2sammyb February was a horribly fantastic month for me. Everytime I came here, my heart felt like it was going to explode out my chest. There was just so much to be hyped about and not that E3 is around the corner, my hype meter has started building again.

I've always wanted to try Planetside 2. Including it with the PS4 would definitely help move units and it would satisfy the shooter only crowd.

I would die of happiness if Team America was make into a game.

Depending on how it's utilized, I would be willing to give it a try. I just hope they don't use it in too gimmicky a way. Otherwise, I'll avoid using it completely.

I'm glad I preordered this game. Everything about it seems so well done, that I would be extremely surprised if it didn't do well commercially.

@rjejr Sammy beat me to it. But, the movies you mentioned wouldn't be scary without the blood and gore, so they aren't very good examples. I haven't read The Stand, so I can't argue that.

@rjejr Without the infected, the game wouldn't be scary. So taking them out would pretty much just make it a prettier Uncharted.

@Sanquine That would cost them more money than the Vita alone, which isn't a hit that they're capable oftaking. Although if they did do that, I would definitely buy it.

@get2sammyb Oh yeah, I forgot about that... Remote play is just as good, so it's not so bad.

I've been thinking that they should start pushing cross control functionality. It would open up some pretty exciting new ways to play.

I plan on preordering Mercenary in August. The M224-A1 Light Machine Gun sounds too good to pass up, although I have grown to love the M82 Assault Rifles green holo sight. So it might take some getting used to.

@rjejr That's probably why they came up with the PlayStation Cloud. It'll boost the systems longevity and help reach their 10 year goal.

Also, Sony has stated that they plan on supporting the PS3 until 2015. I doubt they'll be supplying first party games, but that's their plan. So it will fall just one year short of 10, which could quite possibly be their plan with the PS4.

@rjejr The PS4 is supposed to be around for 10 years, not 5. So by the time it's successor is released, people should be ready to upgrade.

@XCWarrior On the PS4, you can start playing almost immediately. Whereas you'll have to wait for The Last of Us to reach 50% before you can start it up.

It sounds interesting, hopefully we hear or see something pertaining to it at E3.

They need to put the Vita out there first, that way it has all eyes on it and it has the added bonus of prolonging the PS4 portion of their showing.

My favorite DC hero and second favorite DC villain having it out, I can't wait for this game.

Also, kudos on the "briefer than a pair of underpants" bit, Sammy. I believe that qualifies as comedy gold.

The whole numbers thing reminds me of Death Note, but that's not important. What is important, is that this trailer was amazing and that actual gameplay footage can't come soon enough. I don't mind another monster fighting game, as long as it's good and this looks like it will be exactly that. I just hope it's for Vita and not a PS3 or PS4 game.

This is a great strategy and it has the potential to keep Sony ahead of the competition. After October, first party support on the PS3 will die out and people will have more incentive to switch to PS4, which will have tons of first and third party support.

Hardcore Sony fans will switch over regardless. Then, you have to think about the CoD fans who will switch over for the enhanced graphics and features that the PS4 provides.

I doubt GT6 coming out on PS3 will hurt the PS4. It's actually a smart move, because people aren't going to upgrade just to play one game. Sure some hardcore GT fans would trade up, but the more casual GT fans won't be willing.

As I've said before, Drive Club should be enough to satisfy racing fans until GT7. Releasing GT and Drive Club at the same time would be disastrous for Drive Club, so I don't really see this as a bad thing. Especially since Microsoft is having problems and will most likely have 1 or 2 first party titles at launch.
