Price drop Vita to $200, price drop memory cards by at least 50% so that they'll still be overpriced but not TOO overpriced, and bring back the White Vita. Actually, more color options in general would help. Also make sure to bring us God Eater 2.
Only then will they be able to even get anywhere close to selling 5 million in a year.

Koto commented on No, Your PlayStation 4 Won't Play Audio CDs:

Well...anyone who can afford a PS4 should already have at least one device that can play CDs. But let's stop assuming that everyone has so much money to buy consoles without having to sell old stuff...too bad for those people in those cases.

Uhm...no. The reason it's not selling is because there weren't enough games worth buying it for (which is finally being fixed this year) and because the essentially required memory cards are just too overpriced. Not just expensive, but overpriced for what they offer. There's also a lack of color options. This thing is a handheld console; it's a personal gaming machine, so people will want it in a color they want. This is being fixed in Japan, but so far most western regions are just stuck with black. And personally I believe Sony products look far better in white than they do in black.
Sony: bring more color options to the market, cut the price of your memory cards AT LEAST by half (if I can buy 3-4 32 GB SD cards with massively superior speeds to your own 32 card for the same price, then there's a huge problem), and drop the price of your Vita hardware to $200. You'll start seeing more sales if you do. You finally have the games, now make sure people will want to spend the money on the hardware to play them.
And remember, and this is to everyone, whether you agree or not, phones and tablets ARE encroaching on handheld console territory. Especially this year, when we'll be getting tablets and phones packed SoCs that blow away what's inside the Vita for the same price. Content, gameplay, and value-wise the games those devices play may not match what we get on 3DS or Vita, but things will just get better for those devices. That shouldn't be ignored.
But yeah, who else wants a price drop on the Vita and memory cards? More colors as well?

@rjejr
You gotta add the 3DS model sales together. It's higher than the Vita, but Vita's selling VERY well now after that price cut. Now if only there's a price cut over here as well, AND if only Sony cuts the price of those ridiculously overpriced memory cards.

Hoping for a price drop over here eventually (even though they said they have no plans of that yet), and I ESPECIALLY want a price drop for those ridiculously overpriced memory cards.
For now, I think I'll pick up Soul Sacrifice just to support Inafune, even if I end up getting a Vita 1-2 years from now. Would hope for God Eater 2 PSP and Vita (and Project Diva f!)to arrive as well and for PSO2 Vita to make it to the American PSN.
Speaking of which, I want PSO2 to be on 3DS and Wii U, too.

@Zenith
Well Japan got that Vita price drop to the equivalent of $200 for us for both Wi-Fi and 3G. Perhaps Sony will announce the same for western territories tomorrow!
Hopefully at least. Hoping they bring back the white color to America as well :/

And drop the prices of your memory cards by at least 2/3 of their current price. Still more expensive than SD cards, but Sony loves being more expensive. Even if they bundle a 4 GB memory card, it's not going to cut it for some people. PSO2 look to be weighing a little over 4 GB at the moment for the Vita version, so at least an 8 GB will be mandatory for those who want to play. Though since 8 GB cards are so overpriced...it pretty much kills the "Free-to-Play" factor of PSO2 on Vita.

Awesome! This is the main game I want on Vita besides PSO2 (which I will dedicate the 4 GB memory card in its entirety to), Project Diva f, and Atelier Totori. 4 games compared to the "I lost count" amount of games I have and want on 3DS, but 4 REALLY good games in my opinion. Good thing Vita is region-free in case some of these never reach America...

Hmm, makes the Vita closer and closer in ability to an Android device. Well then, it's only a 5 inch screen, barely bigger than my phone and with lower screen quality than my phone, but I think I'll get this instead of a tablet for now (tablets tend to have lower screen quality than my phone anyway, except for maybe the new ones). Memory is a massive problem with Vita, but hey, portable Phantasy Star Online 2 and whatnot.

Since I think it's already possible to get the PSP version on Vita with the dual analog controls, I'm thinking this upcoming MH Vita game is just the PS3 HD port of MHP3rd ported over to Vita. Unless of course, Sony was lying at TGS about not knowing what Capcom is doing with MH or unless Sony has just recently been told in secret by Capcom that they're getting some new MH game. Or another port.
